OVERVIEW:
This course provides theoretical and practical training in First Aid techniques that are specific to infants who are aged 0 to 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. Candidates will become familiar with the role of the Paediatric first aider and be able to assess and react appropriately to an emergency situation, including being able to provide first aid for a child and an infant. This course is ideal for those who are frequently around small children, for example parents, day care centre and also school employees including teachers.

OVERVIEW:
Highfield Level 3 International Award in Emergency First Aid and Use of AED with CPR for all Ages is a qualification aimed at providing Teachers, Teacher’s Assistant, School personnels and parents with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support emergency first aid school settings or other related school activities. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of a first aider and how to assess and incident. It also covers first aid skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), providing first aid to a casualty who is choking and dealing with external bleeding and shock.

American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED is an approved qualification by International Liasson Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). This training was created to allow instructors an easy option for their students seeking a comprehensive training class. The program helps develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond to a medical emergency. CPR, AED and Basic First Aid combination training is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting especially in the daycare centers, nurseries, play areas, schools and children’s park, and conforms to the 2015 Guidelines Update for CPR, AED, and First Aid.
