The most ideal thing to do in such situations is to quickly stop the blood from gushing through the cut with sanitized cloth or bandages. BONE FRACTURES AND DISLOCATIONS

Keep it still and use a cardboard or anything that you can use as a splint to keep it steady. Carefully tie the splint along the swollen area and apply cold compress to it.
Although there are many methods to treating sports injuries, the wisest thing to do is still prevention. Wear appropriate gear for sport and make sure you use the equipment the right way. Also, take your time in doing warm ups to not force any tissue, muscle, or bone to its breaking point.
